Buck Leonard Association for Sports and Human Enrichment About

BL-ASHE

Established by family in 1999 to help organize and manage local youth baseball, the Buck Leonard Association for Sports and Human Enrichment (B.L.-A.S.H.E) has evolved into an organization that engages and empowers our neighbors with programming and resources that promote the education, health and well-being of our children and our community.

With an extensive background in Early Childhood Development and Head Start, we engage children of low-income families in programs that promote active learning, personal enrichment, athletics and community pride; while empowering parents and caretakers with access to the services and resources they need to help create positive outcomes for their families.

As lifetime residents of Rocky Mount, NC, we embrace our role as community caretakers in Edgecombe and Nash counties. We seek to connect the present to our past and instill a sense of civic pride, by preserving historic properties, conserving lands, and commemorating and celebrating the contributions of citizens past and present.

Our mission to build for our future, while preserving and celebrating our past is made possible with a dedicated staff of volunteers and several key partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and the city of Rocky Mount, NC.

We thank you for your interest and support.
